Are Debt Consolidation And Debt Companies That Advertise They Can Help You Get Out Of Debt A Good Or Bad Thing?

I want to know if it is a good idea to use outside companies to get out of debt

Generally the companies that claim to take people out of debt are fake or trap people in another vicious circle of payments. So I believe they are a bad thing. As they don't give you money for free, they also charge something. You should never relay on them, instead try to save and pay back your debt yourself.

They don't really do anything for you that you can't do yourself for free.

People are looking for a solution so they pay these people to help them. But, you can learn how to help yourself by educating yourself online and by reading books. You don't need a company to charge you money to do that for you.

Thanks, I have a lot of credit card debt but I am a full time student who is working part time. I am looking for a night job as we speak. I am set to graduate in June of next year and I Know with the obvious boost in my pay I will be able to pay it off fairly quickly. I know its hurting me by not paying anything but I am on a limited income, any suggestions?
