My wife has a purple stop on her stomach about the size of a dime an it has a nice bump to it. I was wondering if this could be cancer or what could it be

You can not have differential diagnosis by a naked eye about a cancerous and non cancerous growth. Only method is biopsy first. If biopsy reports are positive for cancerous cells then further go for detailed investigations like Laboratory and Imaging like MRI or CT scan.
