    My Car Had Too Much Oil In It And Is Now Blowing White Smoke From The Tail Pipes. What Could Be Wrong?

    My husband changed the oil and he put too much in...So I re-drained the oil and new filter, o ring and now my car is blowing white smoke from the tail pipes that have oil in them now. How can I fix the problem, if fix able?

    Let it burn off now and see if it goes away. If it does not go away then it is the piston rings . It will need a complete tear down.
