Leukocytes are also commonly known as White Blood Cells. These cells are responsible for defending the body against foreign materials and infectious diseases. The normal count of WBC is 5000 - 10000/uL. Disturbance in this count can result in many diseases. If they are more than the normal count, a condition called leukemia occurs. And If they are less than normal, a condition called leukopenia occurs. They can result in decrease of immunity against infections in human body. There is no evidence of loss of balance a symptom of Leukopenia.
