Depends how much it is, and if the person who signed the judgement is a big enough b-u-t-t, To have your disability garnished.  If they do that it is usually at 25%.  You can call the court house where the judgement is and they will be able to tell you more. It will remain on your credit until it is satisfied.  Good-Luck.

I am permanently disabled and depending on if you are permanently disabled, you have certain rights and protection from the "Americans Disability Act". I would call your case worker and ask them to refer you to a attorney that will not charge you a fee (every state has it) and ask them to look into it. It will at least give you a peace of mind on what's happening. Fear will hold you hostage and there is no reason to let that be working on you and being disabled too. I have been disabled since 2002 and credit is something of the past for me--If you are permanently disabled I would not pay any debt (mainly because you don't need it and second it will never clear your credit report for 7 to 10 years once you stopping paying that debt). I truly believe that no one can garnish your disability, so check with that case worker for help and get the facts for your own sake. Good Luck!
