There are a total of 75 cities in America. America is a country which extends from the Atlantic Ocean to the Pacific Ocean. Its land borders are shared by countries like Canada and Mexico; it also shares sea borders with Russia and The Bahamas.

The United States is basically a federal republic country and its capital is located in Washington, DC. The current continental United States was colonized by indigenous tribes for over a period of 15,000 years. After explorations in the 16th century, the British recognized their own colonies here. On July 4, 1776 the British fought a war over fair governance, a total of thirteen colonies earlier governed by British proclaimed independence. The war was finally ended with the British approval of the new nation. United States was declared independent on July 4th, 1776; it is also thought to be the date on which the US was established.
