Alexander Graham Bell invented the telephone in 1876, at the age of 29. Alexander Graham Bell was born on March 3, 1847, in Edinburgh, Scotland.

He belonged to the family of authorities in elocution and correction of speech. He pursued his education in the same field. His knowledge of the nature and behavior of sound led him not only to teach the deaf, but also to invent the telephone.
