If You Take A Man To Court And He Put His Assets In His Wife Name So He Can`t Be Sued, Is This Right?

I was told by the judge that this person put all assets in his wife name so that he can not be sued but he lives with the wife, would that be considered as joint asset.and they both should be sued.
