    Hilary Marquand was an English labour party politician. He was elected as MP for the region of Cardiff East from the year 1945 to 1950 for a period of five years. He gave up his seat in the parliament in the year 1961 to take up the position of Director in the Interbnational Institute for Lbour Studies in Geneva.

    Davide Marquand, son of Hilary Marquand is an academic and was also a Member of Parliament. He is the author of a lot of written matter on the topic of the future of the European Union and the necessity of constitutional reform in England.

    Richard Marquand was a film director from Wales. He impressed George Lucas with his directorial capabilities for 'Eye of the Needle'. Lucas then selected Marquand to take over the direction reins for Star Wars Episode VI: Return of the Jedi. He has been the one and only non-American who directed a Star Wars movie.
