We Moved And Now My Cats Keep Throwing Up, Why?

Recently moved into a new place and there are already 2 cats here, now we have 4. MY one cat is female almost 2 the other is male about 5 years old. The last couple days both of my cats have been throwing up. The female is mostly white liquid, the male is like food but more liquid than normal. The male has been a little depressed, but he is coming around. They are both drinking water and eating normally as far as i know. The other two cats are fine. Whats going on? I have no $ for a vet

Maybe they miss their old surrounds. Try and put as many things as possible that's familiar to the around where they sleep. Anything that you may have that the cats are really use to. I assume they are indoor cats. If they are out side a lot, the may have gotten something that makes them ill. Keep them inside for a few days if they are going out.

How long have they been throwing up? It sounds like they got stressed big time, and are reacting to it.

See, cats are territorial, and love familiar things. The place is new, and there are 2 "intruders" and maybe other people around. VERY upsetting.

My cats get digestive upsets with stress, so maybe this is the problem here. Sounds like a digestive blockage, possibly a hairball from nervous licking? Or could they have eaten string or other indigestibles during the move? For that a vet is needed ASAP.

I suggest strong hairball treatment, and watch to see they are pooping normally. If blocked, they won't. And they may cry.

Use a hairball remedy from the pet store. Apply an inch of the gel stuff on their fur, mushing it in so they will groom it off. Do this up to twice a day until they are better - say, spit up a hairball, or have normal BMs if they were not.

Don't wait longer than a day for improvement. 24 hours.

Your local shelter may have a low cost vet clinic as may Pets Mart.

They used to throw up periodicly, but not this much. And never white. I know that Max is depressed and stressed, i have filled most of our room with my stuff. I am pretty sure that he is upset (my fiance and I split) and maybe misses him? We had to pick up and move in a short period of time. we will be moving into an apartment by the end of the month with all of our stuff. do you think they will be better then, or is it going to stress them out more?? Should I take their food and water away for a day?
