What Medications Are Available To Treat Swine Flu Infections In Humans?

Answer Question

1 Answer - Sort by: Date | Rating

Tamiflu, by prescription only.Ibuprofen for headache, body aches and fever.Other over-the-counter cold or flu remedies may also provide relief from congestion and help prevent secondary infections which require antibiotics.  Just be careful to note whether ibuprofen is one of the ingredients so you don't double up dosing on that. Also, if ibuprofen alone doesn't bring down a high fever, it may be alternated with an analgesic such as Tylenol or generic version.  Take a full dose of one, then a full dose of the other 3 hours later and so on.Plenty of rest and fluids are very important.
