verbal is spoken communication; it involves not only what you say but also how you say it; your tone, pitch, volume, open and closed question, clarity, encouragement, paraphrasing, prompting and probing, warmth, sincerity, respect, respecting preffered form of address and identity, etc.

non-verbal can be written in a letter, text, I'm, or Email, but it can also be your body lanuage; your posture, how you sit or stand, proximity, personal space, facial expressions, eye contact, hand gestures, body movement, body tension, personal presentation, contact and touch etc.

Verbal means literal, oral or even spoken.
Verbal communication therefore require use of Language in literary sense.
Such a language can be spoken or written with precise meaning or sense to
communicate.Spoken one needs to be heard and written one to be read!
Non-verbal communication is non vocal and nonspeaking!
Eye contact, Facial expressions,body postures, body language including use of thumbs/fingers are silent in nature but need to be seen.

Verbal communication is related to words and do not synonym for verbal or spoken message. Therefore, vocal voices that are not words, such as a mumble, or singing a wordless note, are nonverbal. Sign languages and writing are normally known as verbal communication. Nonverbal communication can be done by any sensory channel like with the help of sight, hear, smell, feel or taste.
