Is It Possible For Carciniod Tumors To Be Spread From One Person To Another?

My father in law was diagnosed with carcinoid tumors about 2 years ago and just a couple of days ago, his girlfriend found out she now has the same cancer. I was just curious if it is possible to spread /is it contagious?

No, cancer is not contagious. It is a proliferation of cells that begin and end within the individual. If it was contagious i would have contracted it a thousand times over while working as a nurse. Her diagnosis is purely coincidental.

No, it can't happen in the way you tell it, cancer exist out your own cells with your own DNA, in theory it could happen that a child could get it from parents or a brother/sister if the DNA very similar to the other, also must the blood groob be the same. But it a theory, if it would happen, it happens with a bad transplant of organs.
