Amazing but true, a polar bear, one of the largest bear species in the world has black skin and a black nose, black paws, and black paw pads, although it looks so adoringly pristine white. Its lips are black, and the skin around its eyes is also black. In fact, even its so called 'white' fur is not so white; it is translucent, and the purpose is camouflage. The polar bear has many enemies, and its translucent fur helps it to hide against the snow where it lives.

It's true: The fur looks white because of the sun's pigments in it's rays reflecting off of it!
