Why Was The Articles Of Confederation Formulated?

After America's independence in 1776, a need arose for an effective government system, which would be function in sync with the betterment and well being of the newly created state. It was during the Second Continental Congress that this government system was planned and laws were delineated under this plan. This set of laws was approved and formally ratified by all the initial thirteen states in the year 1781 and was known as Articles of Confederation.

Some of the most major attributes of the Articles of Confederation was the demarcation of Congress as the leading power for ruling the United States along with the decisive benchmark of nine states' approval for passing any kind of law. Another essential of the Articles of Confederation was the equal representation of every state in the Congress, an issue that raised problems in the future for the United States and became one of the factors to bring amendments in the system of government.
