Both have exactly the same structure: Books, chapters and verses. Just as there are many versions of the English language Bible (KJV, NAS, etc.), there are various versions/translations in Spanish.

If you compared the two languages side by side, you'd see the translations are pretty much dead-on accurate, unlike movies and songs often translated today.

As a pastoral student for years you will find that they do have the same meanings, while not being able to express it in the same words. It can be tough to express words from English to Spanish so most translations are not from English to Spanish but from Textus Receptus to English and the TR to Spanish. Basically they both come from the same language and both are translated with words that make it come to its fullest meaning in our language. Let's take this verse per say in  English and Spanish Joel 1:1  PALABRA de Jehová que fué á Joel hijo de Pethuel. And compare to English  The word of the LORD that came to Joel the son of Pethuel. Here we can see that in English it takes more words to express the exact meaning of the scriptures and in Spanish it takes less words to express the exact meaning of the scriptures but the meaning here is still the same. They are both taken from Greek language. Both come from the same text translated to our own language. Hope this helps you. You can check this out through hard study and many years of dedication.
