    What Causes Brown Spots On Washing?

    My washing has rust coloured spots. Is this caused by the washing machine?

    It's hard to say, has the washer been sitting for a long time? It could be that if it was in storage or was purchased used, it could have been setting for some time, and some rust took hold.

    On the other hand, if you have hard water, this could be causing it too. In some areas, the water is either a suitable quality, so as to make it a soft water, or not quite so suitable (but not bad) and that would make a harder water because not all the harsher minerals and chemicals are cleaned effectively.
