The Dromaeosaurus will always have a special place in history because it was the first dinosaur ever discovered. It was about the size of a large dog. In comparison to a dog, it had a rather frightening appearance – a massive tail and head and un upright walk.

Dromaeosaurus remains were found on the south bank of the Red Deer River in Canada in 1914 by Barnum Brown. Since then, no other good specimens have been found. The Dromaeosaurus was a meat-eater and walked on two legs. Because its teeth have been found near the sites of other larger dinosaur remains, one hypothesis is that it was an aggressive predator. However, the teeth could have traveled to the site through wind or water currents – therefore, there is still debate over the exact habits of the Dromaeosaurus. Some think it was more of a scavenger than a predator. Although information is scanty, the Dramaeosaurus, like the first-born, is adored by dinosaur-lovers.
