    Peter Everitt is an Australian rules football player.

    He made is debut with St Kilda in the Australian Football League (AFL) in 1993. He remained with the club until 2002, playing 180 games and scoring 299 goals. In 1993 he was a nominee for the AFL Rising Star award. Everitt became one of the Saints' best ruckmen. He won All-Australian selection in 1997 but suffered a collarbone late in the year and missed the Grand Final. Recovered from his injury, he also won All-Australian selection in 1998.

    In 2003 Everitt joined Hawthorn, where he played 58 games and scored 62 goals. He won All-Australian selection in 2005.  He again distinguished himself as a top premier ruckman.

    On October 13 2006 he was traded to the Sydney Swans, effective in 2007.

    Everitt is nicknamed "Spider" because of the variety of unique hairstyles that he sports, as well as tattoos on his chest and arms. His jocular personality has also made him an illustrious character in the AFL.

    Born on May 3 1974, Everitt grew up on the Mornington Peninsula.
