It's the usual modest claim by Jesus - Alpha and Omega are the first and last letters of the Greek alphabet, Jesus was claiming to be the beginning and the end of everything.

        Jesus speaking.
Rev 22:13  "I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end, the first and the last. "

If you could fully wrap your head around it you would be the first and only to ever do it.

But basically it is in reference to Him being without beginning and without end. Saying He is "the beginning and the end" doesn't mean He has a beginning and an end but that He started everything and that by His will everything will end. Time-wise that is.
