What Is Causing The Balls Of My Feet To Swell And Have Painful Lumps?

I am a 45 year old female and was diagnosed with rhuematoid arthritis 6 years ago. I give myself Enbrel injections twice a week and it has helped a lot. Over the last 6 months I am getting swollen nodules on the balls of my feet and it is painful to walk. My wrists hurt more than usual too. Otherwise I feel pretty good. WHy all the sudden is this happening to me? It is a lot worse during my menstrual cycle too.

Rheumatoid arthritis is the inflammation of the joints usually small joints but large joints can also be affected. It is autoimmune disorder.  Along with joints it can also affect skin, heart, blood vessels, lungs, kidney and some other organs. In your case nodule formation is also rheumatoid arthritis of skin. It will be good to see a doctor for its management.
