This was after I caught them on msn and he tired to hide it from me. I confronted her on the msn and told her to keep off. Some days later she wrote to my boyfriend whom we are living together: "I think we should let things cool down first. A lot of stress now I love you, you are my big heart. I just don't want to be hurt or be part of this that has happened now"

It is apparent from the message that they are more than just friends. Do not fool yourself into believing that it is your fault in confronting your guy over this issue. It is natural for you feel the way you are feeling right now. Anyone else in your shoe may not have reacted differently. It seems that you are a strong person, what you need to ask yourself now is that do you really love this guy? If so then you can start reconciling on matters with him and set him straight. Even if he is cheating on you its best that you do not lose control over what you may do or say as a result. Any adverse reaction from your side could mean more arsenal in his repertory to use against you in the event of a confrontation. Another solution could be to give your guy a taste of his own medicine. If he reacts to it strongly tell him that you would not have double standards. There is still however a looming possibility in your mind that they could possibly be just fraternizing. Anyways, and if you don`t think you can get past the event and forgive him then just move on.
