We've Been Stung By Yellow Jackets And Put Soda And Water On Them, Is There Anything Else To Do?

Answer Question

I've heard that ammonia, apple-cider vinegar, mud, and tobacco (from a cut cigarette) works. I've had the good luck to not have to test any of those first hand so I can't can for sure. I know that ammonia is effective on ant and mosquito bites. I have a friend that swears on the mud remedy. And my brother believes in the tobacco remedy.

Make sure the stinger is out. If it is still in your skin, do NOT use tweezers or  your fingers to PINCH the stinger out. Pinching the stinger, squeezes it and makes it release more venom. Use something like a credit card or paper folded so that it is stiff, to scratch it out.
