As you can see in that thread Rhiannon complains when I answer the question she actually asks, so I thought I'd try to please her better this way.
It was always doomed to fail as in my experience females are notoriously difficult to please and are very rarely if ever happy with things

Redneck originated in Alabama and Georgia in reference to farmers, sharecroppers, etc. Whose necks were red from the sun. It was also used later in time to define Virginia coal workers during strikes, because of the red bandanas they wore. It is now used by comedians to cast a redneck as being slow witted, trailer park, beer guzzlin, law breakin, spouse cheatin trash. Good for a laugh. Ain't true. I am one. And proud of it.
