Why Do We Still Have Spams When We Unsubscribe Almost Every Day?

It gets so annoying when you can these emails you have never subscribe for and they start popping up. They said they have the "remove me" and "unsubscribe", just click and within so-what days you'll be removed. Ok, the more I unsubscribe and click on remove me, the more emails I get from these uninvited/junk emails. I understand about people stealing and selling personal emails but they're suppose to respect our privacy.
