The Closet Dwellers! People who make statements in anonymity and are the same hecklers that mock someone that tries and puts forth effort. They are just there to spoil and soil. They are also the first in lines, complain the most about everything as nothing is good enough for them. They give service people a hard time and expect the best for nothing. They never say Thank You and never have to say Your Welcome, as they never do anything except that which benefits them. They have no name so they can never be blamed. They have no voice so can never be heard. They will never take credit for their rants, raves, complaints, comments or actions because they do not have the backbone. They want all the benefits and perks but never pay the bill. They are the lead that weighs the world down in their own self-absorption and non-participation.

Hiding behind a username. On this site alone, there are some who push their personal agendas, views, and opinouns...without actually answering a question. But.. Using the comment option. And then, having their shout box closed to friends only. In so many words, being allowed to attempt a refutation of  someones answer, cause confusion, attempt a confrontation with another user, while hiding behind a username, closed box, where there-in, they themselves cannot be confronted. Either forcing others to place more comments, that may never be seen (causing infuriation of the answerer) defending their answer or belief, or causing that user and posssibly many others to not participate at all. We as a people did not recieve the right of speech easily. We had to fight and die for it. The idea of a person using any web-site to post their personal rabble for the purpose of just plain being an outright "I'm better than you"-"I know better than you". And then hiding behind an anonymity username so they do not have to answer what they consider an inflicting jibe against them when a user challenges them.

Should we all open our shout boxes? Actually why does it matter if it's closed? People can read them if they want to anyway, right? So I just may reopen mine again...forgot now why I even closed it!!

No. Unless your a friend, you can not view the shoutbox or leave a shout. Hence the frustration of one user trying to contact the user who offended him/her and not being able to.

They are cowards in my opinion . If they do not have the quiones to say who they are I do not take their commentary seriously

Those who have conviction in their words usually have a name. Cowards and sneak thieves will rant about their issues, and sit back and reap in the self loathing and absorption they crave. I personally stand up and speak my mind, therefore what you see is what you get. Being behind the scenes to give an anonymous opinion, shows that that person may not believe what they are supposedly standing up for. Then again, some just like to be instigators and cause trouble. I see a lot of that around here.

If the availability of who they are is there and they write a comment and choose to be anonymous, unless they are on some kind of protection program, then how much conviction and support do they really have when they won't even recognize in who they are.To me ,they hold no representation, they are guttless and a waste of good skin.Don't want them siding for anything if they can't stand for who they are.

What's the problem? Without anonymity, there would be no Internet!

Come on Bickle if we were all anonymous we would all be creating a new virus, Mal-ware bomb or Trojan with holes to spread deeds of destruction to those that share and learn!

We are still anonymous, Count. Though we choose to reveal some details about ourselves, we hold back enough to protect ourselves.
