    It is a process by which the financial institution uses for verifying the credibility of the customer before giving him loan for the different purpose. These financial institutions include banks, investment banks and insurance companies. In the banking term the underwriting is used to make analyses of the creditor and his credibility before giving him loans. The company makes analysis on the information which is given by the customer which need loan for any specific purpose. There are different types of information include in the underwriting that is customer employment record, salary structure, his designation and all the available information relevant to the banking and loan.

    Underwriting can also be used for the purchase of the securities, saving bonds and other investment purposes. So the underwriting serves as the search for the different purposes in order to take loan for the companies. There are different types of underwriting which are used to check the credibility of the different sectors for example the securities exchange communion can check the credibility of the customers which are making investment in the market. So this is very common type of the securities and this help the people to asses the credit worthiness of the other party.
