How To Design A Gothic Room?

There are two types of Gothic themes which can be used to design a room. One is known as the traditional Gothic theme and the other is known as the modern Gothic theme. The two words which are often associated with Gothic are dark and mysterious.  

If you want a Gothic décor, you could go in for dark paint (or wallpaper that is dark in colour) on the walls, a four-poster bed, dark drapes, a canopy, a black intricately-designed tapestry (which can also be used as a bed cover), old oil paintings or wall hangings, statues of dragons, gargoyles, etc. which are made of pewter, candle holders, incense burners, a dark throne, mirrors, lamps, clocks, etc.

Black furniture, a large television set, low-wattage lighting and black plastic chairs constitute the modern Gothic style of décor.
