    Why Does My 10 Week Old Chihuahua Have A Yellow Discharge After She Urinates?

    My chihuahua has a yellow discharge after she urinates. This happens almost every time.

    If it's truly what we would consider a discharge (thick, sticky or smelly) and not just residual urine on her fur, then I'd have her checked for infection.

    A ten week old small breed pup is a very delicate thing, they don't have many reserves to fight illness and infection, so you always have to err on the side of caution. If you notice her acting sleepy all the time (but young puppies sleep a lot anyway) or not being as playful as usual, you need to take her to the vet to figure out why.
