What Freezes Up An Air Conditioner?

Answer Question

1 Answer - Sort by: Date | Rating

Freezing up of an air conditioner usually takes place because of lack of refrigerant, or due to refrigerant leak. An AC better known as air conditioner basically is a machine created to remove heat from a particular area applying a refrigeration cycle.

The most widespread application of contemporary air conditioners are for comfort cooling in apartments and transportation vehicles. A collective system which also offers heating along with ventilation is known as a HVAC system. Quite a few customary air conditioners in houses and structures are solitary rectangular units.

Air conditioner units require access to the space they are cooling along with a heat sink. Normally there are vents on both inside and outside sections of the unit, so that the inner air can be chilled and propelled in and out by a fan in the unit.
