If A Man That A Woman Was Involved With Moves On To Another Girlfriend, But Continues To Call You And Try To Have Conversations Like You Had When You Were Together, How Should The Woman Interpret That?

I am trying to move on emotionally, but for some reason, my ex doesn't think his calling me is the wrong thing to do.

Pardon me by answering this question with a question? How do you take his calls when he calls? Are you encouraging and sound excited that he calls? Do you stay on the phone with him for long periods? If you don't feel it is right, tell him straight out. There's nothing wrong with saying that if you were still involved with him you wouldn't want him calling his ex girlfriend so often and chatting so intimately. By the same token, you don't feel it's appropriate for him to call you now that he's involved with someone else. The best was to get over him, and MOVE ON...you said the key words, are to break the ties. You may need to be the one to set limits because it doesn't sound like he will. Good Luck.

You need to just tell him its over and you will remain his friend but nothing more. If he insisst, ask him about his new girlfriend and how would she react to his behavior. If he is calling in a flirty way, it is wrong.
