Pardon me by answering this question with a question? How do you take his calls when he calls? Are you encouraging and sound excited that he calls? Do you stay on the phone with him for long periods? If you don't feel it is right, tell him straight out. There's nothing wrong with saying that if you were still involved with him you wouldn't want him calling his ex girlfriend so often and chatting so intimately. By the same token, you don't feel it's appropriate for him to call you now that he's involved with someone else. You need to just tell him its over and you will remain his friend but nothing more. If he insisst, ask him about his new girlfriend and how would she react to his behavior. If he is calling in a flirty way, it is wrong.
