What Are The Odds Of Having Twins?

My mother was a twin and my mother-in-law is also a twin!!!!My mom or his mom didn't have any twins.What are the odds of us having twins???Also his moms twin was a male and my moms twin was a male.Twins run heavily on both sides of are families.

    Whether or not a woman will have twins depends on the genes of her mother's side. If your mother had twins in her family, it is very likely that you will also get twins. In your case, there is an 80% chance that you will get twins. As Your mother was a twin and it runs in her family.

    OK well thanks, i just figured if it is my genes they must be in his also do to his mom being a twin as well.

    I agree with Aicha, around an 80% chance. I am a twin, and therefore I have an increased potential to give birth to twins some day. Genetics are complex, but it's certain you are carrying such a gene and are more likely than the average female to conceive twins.
