It is assumed that you want to write (burn) or create a CD over a computer. To burn a CD on Windows XP all you need to do is: Insert the blank Compact Disk in side the CD-writer. In your "my computer" you will find a new Drive. You will not find this drive usually. You need to copy all the file and folder that you want in your CD, in this drive. In the same drive you will see "write this file on CD" option on the right side of the screen. You need to click on this option and the CD-writer will start its work. It might take some time depending upon the data and speed of the device.

Before you start your work you need to know what type of file you want to put into the CD. There are different types of file you can burn (write or copy) on a CD. The types of file are video file, audio file, computer data file. It also depends on what type of a CD you want. The most important fact is the hardware if you want to mix a CD you need to have CD writer or DVD writer that is the most preferable rom. You also need its "Driver", you get this Driver along with the CD or DVD writer.
