I'm On Birth Control Pills But This Is Weird. What Is Going On?

I've been on birth control pills for almost 10 years, and estrostep for the last 3-4 years. My period was 2 weeks late, and I took 3 tests all negative. I started a new pack of pills on the Sunday after that 2 week late period, just to try to get a fresh start. Well according to my pills, I should have it next week, but I have it this week. What is going on? Could my body be adjusting to the newer pill and is it time to change?

You have not mentioned your age. If you are over 40 years then it might be the premenopause. The most probable reason of you problem is estrostep 21. Because these pills contain progesterone in all 21 tablets. This is causing hyper transformation of endometrium which cause delay in periods. Change your pills. Use those pills in which first 11 tablets contain only estrogen and last 10 tablets have both estrogen and progesterone. Amenorrhea or no periods is side effect of estrostep 21. I am giving you a link of side effects of these pills which shows that estrostep 21 can cause amenorrhea. Visit estrostep 21 side effects.
