Answer Question

Lavender is one of the most popular aromatherapy oils because it has a very gentle action, but can be used to treat a whole host of conditions.  It is reputed to be the most versatile oil but also the safest to use.
It can be particularly useful for people who are suffering from tension, since it has a mild sedative effect.  This also makes it useful in treating (mild) insomnia.
It is also good for treating burns and skin conditions, due to the fact that it has an antiseptic and bactericidal effect.
Perid pains can be greatly helped by lavender and it is also useful for PMT.
Any infection can be helped by lavender, such as sinusitis, coughs, colds and sore throats.  It is also thought to be a good, all round tonic for people.
However, lavender will only assist with conditions, for very acute conditions, it is still necessary to seek medical advice.
