UK Blurters: Do You Have As Much Trouble Understanding American Accents In Movies/on TV As We Do British Sometimes (e.g., Some British Movies And Some Monty Python Skits)?

There are some movies that are very hard for me to understand at times. My wife can't even watch Monty Python because she only gets every other sentence.

I am from Australia and i have absolutely no problem with the accent at all. It is clear, precise and that's that.

How about some of the British accents? Have there been some movies that were hard to follow?

I absolutely love hearing different accents. I sometimes find it harder to understand the people here in the US rather than those form over seas. If I were to talk to my pen pal in England over the phone the only problems we might have is understanding eachothers slang. She speaks very clear and I have no problem understanding her.

Two recent movies I had some trouble with: The Bank Job (a few scenes in the garage..with Jason Statham) and Snatch (with Brad Pitt...this movie I needed to put on English subtitles because it was extremely hard to decipher and I don't like to miss any lines).
