Why Do Birds Gently Nibble On Me?

I have a pigeon, that had been attacked by a cat. I nursed it back to health, so he is really in much better shape although will never fly again unfortunity. The Pigeon is now tame an no longer agressive. I see the nibbling as a sing of affection....Am I right?

You are right.  Birds do this gentle nibbling to each other as mutual grooming with their mates.  This is a really sweet story - what a fortunate bird.
