You will find that ear infections are incredibly common in children, chiefly in those under two years of age. Two principal kinds of ear infections which are seen in children would be outer and middle ear infections.

Some of the risk factors involved when it comes to middle ear infections would include family members who smoke; exposure to many other children (for instance, a big day care); and family member who suffer from lots of infections of the ear. Even lying down while the child is drinking a bottle could least to such infections.

Outer ear infections in kids are typically caused when water in the ear leads to inflammation and infection. It would be helpful to teach your child proper hygiene such as using and disposing tissues.
