How Can You Tell If Your Drinking Water Is Bad?

    There are several ways in which the quality of water can be judged. There are the obvious signs of there being a colour or smell to the water. On a glass being filled the water may appear to have a brownish tinge. On water being kept aside in bucket sedimentation may be observed where particulate matter may accumulate at the bottom. Other factors may include recurring ill heath, problems with digestion or sickness. Jaundice and cholera can also be caused by bad drinking water. Another ailment that may occur due to bad water is worms, t ape worms and ascaris worms in the intestine.

    There are various simple steps that can be taken to purify water and make it safe for consumption. Filtration and boiling are the easiest steps one can take.
