Who Was Erykah Badu?

Erykah Badu was a well-known American musician who was born on February 26, 1971 in Dallas, Texas in the United States. She was born into a family that was very artistically and musically inclined and she began playing and singing music at a very young age. In addition to music, she also studied acting, painting and drawing a lot. She was a very artistic lady.

Her debut album was released in 1997 and was titled 'Baduizm'. Because of superior management, her debut album ended up being a very huge success. She also made a video for one of the songs on this debut album. The video was to a song titled 'One on One'. This music video really helped with the success of this album.

In 1999, she decided to try acting. She appeared in the film titled 'The Cidar House Rules' which was released in 1999. She likes acting and singing and does both on a regular basis.
