    Yes, overheating can cause a head to warp or a blown head gasket.

    White smoke is a common sign of a blown head gasket as it is allowing coolant to get into the exhaust.

    There are several other conditions that you may see with a blown head gasket. It really depends on what part of the gasket blew out. There can be water (coolant) in the oil. The oil will become milky and possibly have white foamy stuff around the oil cap. You can have weak compression if the gasket blew out around the cylinder.
