Video Files is the name for all the data files that contain information as video. There are a number of applications for Video files such as WMV, Quicktime, avi, m2t, m2v etc.
The most common and widely used Video file is Windows Media Video or WMV. It is basically a compressed Video file format which was developed by Microsoft. It was initially designed and used for Internet Streaming Applications in competition of Real Video. It provides excellent video quality in its new versions and is usually played on Windows Media Player, KM player, Powe DVD, Mplayer etc.
