How Long Does It Take To Grow A Pineapple?

Flowering and fruiting. Although the pineapple plant is attractive in itself, most growers want their plants to flower and fruit. In Hawaii, a crown takes about 20 months to produce a ripe fruit. It may take your plant that long, or longer.

The roots grow long underground and short above the ground of the soil. It takes three to four years to grow a pineapple.

It can take 2 years or more. Flowers should show up 15-23 months after it was planted from the crown and it takes 5-7 months from bloom to fruit.

When i was in school, we grew pineapple plants in our greenhouse.  This is how we did it.  Take the pineapple green top and peel the bottom leaves away till there is a 3 inch stalk.  Place the stalk in the cupboard for 3 days allowing it to dry out.  At the end of 3 days place it in a pot of sand or a good growing medium and start the roots.  Keep the soil moist but not soggy wet and grow for 3 months.  The new pineapple will have a new top on it., but you can not use this top for another pineapple.  You must go to the store for another pineapple top.

   IM So mad... My pineapple is taking so long to grow  its been 4 years and......   Darn it   i forgot bout it      i hope it didnt die!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
