Do You Have A Wiring Diagram For An Indoor Unit With An Outside AC? Including The Thermostat Wiring If You Please.

The indoor unit is Payne with 2 double pole breakers marked L1 L2 L3 L4 for power. 220V connects to L1 (110) and L2 (110). Red and white are connected from the thermostat. The thermostat is an old one for AC and Gas Heat. If I turn the system on and raise the thermostat temp the system goes on but if I lower the thermostat it does not go off. I hope the wiring diagram will help me figure it out.
