It is very simple to configure the fax server in windows 2000. First of all user must enable the component of the fax server which is not by default installed in windows during the installation. But it asks once during the installation if you need then you can check this during the installation and after installation it will be installed. After checking and verifying that the component of the Windows fax server is installed in the Pc.
Simply go to start then control panel then add remove program click on the add remove program then windows components; verify that you has installed the Fax server. Then go to the start programs accessories communications and then Fax server. It will open the wizard which will ask about the phone and modem settings, after finishing the modem and phone line checking it will ask the personal settings of the Fax cover page, these are the necessary settings for sending and receiving the proper faxes. After finishing the wizard it will share the client software by defaults which the clients on the network will be install to connect the fax server.
