Yellowish stuff that you are mentioning can be bile. If he is vomiting this bile occasionally then no need to worry. Consistent bile vomiting in dogs can be due to
1. Rapid eating
2. Overeating
3. Nervousness
4. Stress
5. Bloat
6. Dry foods
7. All other foods which can cause irritation in GI tract
