How To Do Skateboard Ollie Trick?

Answer Question

1 Answer - Sort by: Date | Rating

The ollie is a skateboard trick that is done in mid-air. This trick was created by Alan Ollie Gelfand and afterward Rodney Mullen modified it to the flat ground. For other tricks like heelflip, kickflip and pop-shove it serves as a base trick. When the ollie trick is executed the skateboarder does not grab any thing not even the skateboard and there are no accessories attached to the board that's why it is also know as no hand aerial.

    Execution of Ollie trick:

    • While doing the Ollie trick skateboarder place the front foot is somewhat more towards the center of the board and back foot at the tail.
    • Bend down the hands and should almost feel the ground.
    • The skateboarder jumps in to the air off the back foot and when about to take off kick the tail of the skateboard downwards.
    • Keep the body at the middle on the board when jump and try to keep the board level.
    • The kick provides upward force to the front end of the board and as the tail knocks the floor it bounces back making the board flying.
    • When the board is in the air its front is higher than its tail.
    • The working of shoe and the board helps in leveling the skateboard and also takes it go higher.
