    How Is X+2 Different From 2x?

    I am having a hard time telling the difference between the two.

    X+2 all you are doing is adding the number 2 to what ever x is.
    So say x is 5 it would be 5+2 which is 7
    2x all it is saying is that you have two of that number.
    So again x is 5 it would be 2 (Times) 5 or 2*5 which is then 10

      X is a variable. X+2 means that add 2 (digit) in the variable X. 2X means, X+X. 2X is the addition of two X variables.
