How Can You Lower Blood Pressure Without Drugs?

Answer Question

1 Answer - Sort by: Date | Rating

You can lower you blood pressure without drugs but if you have tried to do so and failed to see results you may need to take some medication for the same. In order to reduce your soaring blood pressure you will need to incorporate some changes in your lifestyle and curb the habits and behaviour that gave you high blood pressure in the first place.

The first step is adopting a healthy diet. This would entail eating some low fat dairy products, fresh fruits, leafy green vegetables and food that is low in fat and cholesterol. The most important dietary adjustment you must make is to reduce the salt and the sodium in your diet.  It is best to maintain a healthy diet depending upon your height and age.

Another important lifestyle change is to incorporate exercise in to your daily regimen. Some light exercise for about half an hour is excellent for reducing high blood pressure. Maybe you could take a pet or family member along and make the exercise a habit.
If you are a heavy drinker, you should at once limit your alcohol intake and if possible give up drinking altogether. Another way of reducing your blood pressure is to quit smoking.

Lastly you can reduce all factors that give you pressure like overworking, quarrelling at home, unnecessarily get worked up over minor issues and so on and so forth.
