    My 10 Month Old Son Was Bitten By A Mosquito On His Cheek Last Night And Now It Is Very Swollen, Red, And Hot. It Isn't Getting Better. Should I Be Concerned?

    Does my son need to go to the doctor, i have given him allergy medicine and the swelling hasn't changed maybye getting worse

    Are sure that it was a mosquito? It can also be an insect bite. If its mosquito then no need to be worry. Apply mild steroid like hydrocortisone cream and take an anti allergy syrup. If you suspect an insect bite then also use same treatment with potent steroid.

      Some kids have a sensitivity to the bites. If the OTC cortisone does not work, or if It continues to grow see your pediatrician. It can go into cellulitis and require antibiotics and oral steroids.
